Mental Health

I have authored several publications on mental health including Everything Begins With Asking for Help: An Honest Guide To Depression & Anxiety From Rock Bottom To Recovery and the Practice Cards (below). Reviews & Recommendations

"As a psychotherapist I read many psychology and sociology books and this is a future classic. I couldn't put the book down because it has the perfect combination of a page turning story and psychological theory. Superb!"- Amazon reviewer • "A pivotal book in my recovery journey" – Steve • "Essential recovery reading" – Zaren • "An outstanding Book - Hope and practical solutions for anyone living with a mental illness" – Dom

Practice Cards

I developed Practice Cards to assist people recovering from depression and anxiety. Volume 1: Actions & Ideas include 56 suggestions of things to do (yellow "Action" cards), and wise ideas and sayings to contemplate or meditate upon (blue "Idea" cards). The simple principle of shuffling the deck, picking two cards, and carrying out at least one suggestion every day is a way to built positive, healthy habits for mental health, one day at a time.

“I cannot recommend Practice Cards more highly. They perfectly encapsulate how small daily steps and self compassion are absolutely invaluable in getting well and staying well”Dr Jane McNeill, psychologist and trauma specialist

Make A Game Out Of Getting Better

Researchers at UCL found that it takes 66 days to form a new habit, showing what folk wisdom has long known: we get better at what we do more of. When life is a combination of what happens to you and what you do every day, it makes sense to practice and do more of what helps. These cards are a simple and helpful way to bring about positive change in your life

This project and my story made the cover of the Observer magazine and was shared over 12,000 times.
